Ingredients for kolhapuri bhadang
  1. 1/2 kg puffed rice thick (kurmura)
  2. 4 tbsps oil
  3. 1/4 cup peanuts raw
  4. 7-8 garlic  cloves crushed (lehsun)
  5. 10-12 curry leaves (kadi patta)
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
  7. 1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
  8. 2 tbsp chilli powder
  9. 1 tbsp aamchur pawder(dry mango pawder)
  10. 3 tbsp metkut (optional)
  11.   salt as per taste
  12. 2 tsp sugar powdered

Steps

  1. Heat the oil in a deep kadhai, add the peanuts and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

  2. Add the garlic and sauté on a medium flame for 4 minutes.

  3. Add the curry leaves, turmeric powder and asafoetida and sauté on a medium flame for 30 seconds.

  4. Keep flame low, add the chilli powder ,aamchur pawder ,metkut ,sugar powder and salt and mix well.

  5.  add the murmurra and mix well and cook on a slow flame for 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.

  6. Cool completely and store in an air-tight container.

  7. Our kolhapuri bhadang is ready for sarv
