Ingredients :
- 1 cup sabudana/sago,washed and soaked overnight or 6-7 hrs
- 1 cup curd/yogurt
- 1 or 2 medium potato,boiled
- grated 2 green chilies and ginger pest
- 1/4 cup Chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup Peanut crushed
- 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 cup flour of sogo and varai
- 6-7 Tbsp ghee /oil
- salt to taste(I used about 1 tsp)
Method :
1) Wash sabudana well and soak overnight or 6-7 with water which is 1 inch above the sabudana.Next morning,Sabudana should feel soft when pressed.completely drain water from sabudana.
2)Take 1 big bowl ,Add the curd,sugar,salt,green chili,ginger pest mix well
3) add soaked sago,cilantro,Peanut powder,cumin seeds, boiled mashed potatograted green chilies ,Chopped coriander leaves ,red chilli powder ,flour of sogo and varai
and Mix well with your hands.
4) Add little water and make a paste of it. and Mix well with your hands.
5) Now heat the appe pan and apply little oil/ghee to the holes.
6) Drop sogo mixter using spoon in each of the holes . cover appe pan and cook on medium heat .keep lid and cook for 3-4 minutes.
7) Remove lid and check it has to change it’s colour.Now turn the appe and cook from another side.
8) Once it done from both the side take away from Aappe patra.
8) Enjoy with chutney of your choice!!
