Ambyachi dal / Kairichi dal is made from mashed channa mixed with raw, grated mango and tempered with mustard and Red chillies.
This recipe is a authentic and traditional Maharashtrian summer recipe.It is a sweet and tangy but filling snack. This dish can be eaten on it’s own, as a side or even with roti and rice.
Ingredients :
• Channa dal (coarsely ground) - 1 cup.
• 2 grated Raw mango
• Coriander leaves (chopped)
• 2-3 Green chilies (crushed)
• Sugar - 1 Tbsp.
• Salt - to taste.
For Tempering :
• Oil - 3-4 Tbsp.
• Mustard seeds - 1Tbsp
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Hing (asafoetida) - 1 pinch.
• 2 dry red chilli

Method :1) Take Channa dal and soak in water for 2-3 hours.
2) Drain and dry the daal.
3) In Mixer Blender add Soaked Channa dal ,grated raw mango, chopped coriander leaves,Sugar,Salt,Green Chilles ,grind it to a coarse paste.

4) Take this paste in Bowl and mix well.5) Now ,Heat oil in a pan and when the oil gets hot, add mustard seeds, when the mustard seeds start crackling, add a pinch of hing,
turmeric powder, curry leaves and Red chillies. dry red chili
6)Add Tempering on Dal and mix well .
7)Pour this mixture over the ground daal and serve.
