Maharashtrian recipe for Starter /breakfast or high tea. Easy to make, simply delicious.
Ingredients
1)1 cup - Sabudana/Pearls of sago palm2)2 Boiled medium - Potatoes
3)1 cup - Corn on the cob
4)1 tsp - Cumin seeds {Jeera}
5)1/2 cup - Peanuts Powder/Mungphali (roast, deskin and ground coarsely)
6)1 tsp - Lemon juice
7)2 Tbsp Green Chilli
8)1 Tbsp Ginger
9)2 Tbsp - Coriander leaves {Cilantro} (chop finely)
10)1 Tbsp - Oil
11)To taste - Salt
12)1/2 tbsp Sugar
13) For Deep fry 1 bowl Oil
Method:
1)Wash sabudana two to three times and soak in 3/4 cup water for 3 to 4 hours or overnight.2)In Mixer Blender Add Corn ,Green chilli,ginger & 1/2 Tbsp Cumin seeds(jeera) grind it.
3)Mash Potato smoothy
4)Take big bowl ,add Sabudana,mashed potato,corn-chilli-ginger mixture, remaining 1/2 Tbsp Cumin seeds(jeera),salt ,sugar,lemon juice Peanuts Powder,& Coriander leaves.
5) Mix all well and then form equal sized balls from the mixture.
6)Heat Oil in frying pan till medium hot
7)Then Place the balls in the medium hot oil.turn over gently and fry other side
8)Flip a still to get an even golden color and crisp texture
9)Serve corn-Sago balls hot with coconut chutney and tomato sauce or curd.
