Ingredients
1) 1 cup vermicelli / sevaya2) Onion finely chopped
3) 1 small Capsicum chopped
4) 2 tbsp carrot finely chopped
5) small bowl Green Peas /Matar
6) 1 Tbsp Curry Leaves
7) 2 Green Chilli
8) Salt to test
9) 1/2 Tbsp Sugar (optional)
10) Hot 1 1/4 Cup Watar
For Tempering :
1) 2 Tbsp Oil
2) 1 tsp mustard Seeds
3) 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
4) ½ tsp turmeric Powder
5) Pinch of Asafoetida
Method :
1) Heat a Pan/ kadai and roast the Shevai /vermicelli for until slightly golden. Tranfer into bowl and keep aside.2) Now heat oil in the same kadai add mustard seeds .Let them crackle for a minute.then add cumin seeds, turmeric Powder ,Asafoetida
3) Add Chopped oinion Saute for 1-2 minutes till it turns translucent.
4) Then add Capsicum ,Green Peas, Carrot, curry leaves,Green Chilli. then add salt & sugar (optional). All Ingredients mix well .keep stirring in between.
5) Finally Add Rosted Sevai ,mix well.
6) Add 1 1/4 Cup Hot water mix well and cover the pan/kadai.cook up to 3-4 minutes.
7) after 3-4 minutes remove cover from pan/kadai and again cook it 2-3 minutes till all water gets absorbed by Shevai /vermicelli
8) Switch of the heat .and our Shevai /vermicelli upama is ready for serve.
Tips :
1) Instated of Green chilli ,you also used red chilli & goda masala.
